We are seeking a seasoned, hands-onHR Business Partner with experience in fast-paced, international organisations to join our global HR team. Based in New York City and reporting to the Global HR Director for Business Operations and Technology, this position will primarily support our global Revenue, Business Operations and Technology teams.

You will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, shaping and executing a high-impact people strategy that enhances the employee experience and strengthens organizational effectiveness - all in support of AP's mission to advance the power of facts. In addition to your strategic acumen, you will bring a strong operational mindset and a readiness to engage directly with the work at hand - whether navigating complex employee relations issues, supporting HR processes, or managing core operational activities.

This is a hybrid role, requiring at least three days per week onsite in our New York office. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities



  • Serve as a strategic partner to global business leaders, offering expert insight on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, and change management.
  • Leverage HR analytics and metrics to guide data-driven decisions and proactively address workforce challenges.
  • Lead complex employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, investigations, and grievance resolution, ensuring compliance with relevant local employment laws.
  • Collaborate with other HRBPs and wider HR team to drive consistent execution of key policies, processes and initiatives supporting AP's strategic objectives.
  • Oversee transactional HR processes and documentation, including job changes, compensation adjustments and internal transfers, with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
  • Support global employee mobility.
  • Support constructive labour relations, partnering with union representatives and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior HR colleagues, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.



About You

You are an experienced, proactive and solutions-oriented HR professional with a consultative approach and a passion for driving high performance. You are a skilled communicator, with the ability to adapt to meet the needs of different audiences in order to support, influence and advise. You have the confidence to ask questions and offer well-informed alternative perspectives, contributing constructively to effective decision-making. Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, you thrive in a dynamic, collaborative global team in a fast-paced international environment.

Essential Qualifications



  • Minimum5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a business partner or strategic advisory role within an international organization.
  • Proven experience supporting complex employee relations, driving performance improvement and advising senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (SAP HR and SuccessFactors preferred but not essential) and ability to use HR analytics and metrics to guide decision-making, translating data insights into actionable solutions.
  • Advanced-level professional competency in written and spoken English language is essential.


Preferred Skills



  • Strong knowledge of US employment legislation and HR practices. Additional jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrable experience in organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $109,000 - $120,000, contingent on experience and other job-related factors. Employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan and an employer-sponsored health insurance plan, as outlined in the official plan documents. Additionally, they are eligible for paid time off and holidays per AP policy.
