PRN Student Nurse Apprentice

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$18.75 - $18.75 / hour

Lee Health is looking for students in the RN program who have completed fundamentals and have one year left to graduate. This is a PRN position without benefits or guaranteed hour which includes a flexible schedule, as needed.

Shifts available for both Day and Night with a combination of both weekday and weekend hours. 7am to 7:30pm or 7pm to 7:30am. Pay Rate is $18.75 per hour, plus a shift differential as applicable.

Applicants will need to produce their Official Transcript from an accredited nursing program which indicates completion of Fundamentals of Nursing, as well as an achievement of skills checklist from your instructor. *Forms provided by recruiter for those selected to interview.

Lee Health locations: Gulf Coast Medical Center, Healthpark Medical Center, Lee Memorial Hospital and Cape Coral Hospital. Positions are based upon availability and may be limited as to the departments with openings. Recruitment will review openings at the time of HR interview.

Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health and social needs, comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid and elimination needs.

Enrolled as a Nursing Student in an accredited Registered Nurse program or approved Licensed Practical Nurse program.

The student must have completed the foundations or fundamentals semester of their nursing program. Student will provide an official transcript to Recruitment.

Basic Life Support (BLS) current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.

A competency skills checklist appropriate to the job description will be given to the applicant by Human Resources Recruitment. Applicant should complete this form and bring to manager interview, in order that manager can discuss future orientation needs.

Communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills are required. Demonstrates a working knowledge of medical terminology.
