What You Will Do:
Achieves annual sales targets by working with the Regional Sales Manager and Business Development Director to establish selling strategy and tactics. Works with both existing customers and new accounts. High level of self-autonomy and drive - plans and organizes daily work across the region; calls on existing and potential sales customers to understand needs. Calls on end user facilities, OEMs, and supply stores. Observes and implements practical application of products. Collaborate with Manufacture Representatives and Distributors to drive sales in the region. Upon attaining the required level of technical competency and sales skills, assumes both sales and service responsibilities within an assigned territory. Strives to improve their quality and value provided to the customer. Provide field and customer service requests as needed. Provides technical support for calibration, optimization, and maintenance of valve and control products. Provides support for local inventory warehouse and may deliver products to customers as needed. Provides weekly and periodic sales reports regarding account activity, customer needs, prices, competitor activity, and product applications. Promote integrity and ethical behavior with customers, partners, and employees according to company policies. Responsible for all aspects of safety on the job, including the operation and maintenance of assigned company vehicles. Responsible for reading and complying with company policy.
Position Details:
Candidate must reside in Kennedy, TX or surrounding areas Route Territory will include South TX region Work week and shift: Regular office/shop hours, but may be called on evenings and weekends to support customers and provide field service Compensation package offered: competitive annual salary and eligibility for annual incentive bonus plan New hire training provided Technical product and assembly training provided Ongoing continuous sales training provided Immigration sponsorship is not provided for this position May be assigned to a shop or sales office facility and make regular visits to customer office/field locations PPE requirements include safety glasses, steel toed shoes, hard hats, FR's, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, mechanical engineering, business, or related field 3 years of experience in customer facing, outside sales of oil and gas service products 2 years of experience supporting sales teams Must have assembly experience with valves and controls Technical expertise in oil and gas valves and controls Willingness to travel up to 50-75% in the specified sales territory Must be able to travel by air on occasion for training and other business meetings Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint Results Oriented - Good follow up skills to ensure strategy implementation Contract negotiation experience Adapt at managing multiple tasks simultaneously Provide leadership through example and adequate direction Must be able to produce complex sales reports Must be able to communicate with customers at all levels Must be able to build relationship with company and customer contacts
