Pool Inside Sales Account Manager - Coppell, TX

We have an opportunity for a Pool Inside Sales Account Manager to join our Coppell, TX team. You will act as the primary remote point of contact, ensuring customers receive prompt, knowledgeable assistance and value from their Pentair partnership. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with a passion for problem-solving and building value-based relationships in a dynamic, remote-selling environment, ultimately driving revenue attainment and enhancing dealer loyalty.
- Proactively build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with a dedicated portfolio of existing smaller builder accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty, and strategically identifying opportunities for growth through upsell and cross-sell.
- Lead a value-driven sales process by conducting in-depth discovery calls to deeply understand the needs, pain points, and success criteria of existing dealers.
- Craft and present tailored product solutions, focusing on Pentair's differentiators in technology (e.g., IntelliCenter portfolio, IntelliFlo3 pumps) and service, to drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities and foster long-term loyalty.
- Skillfully manage a pipeline of opportunities, provide accurate sales forecasts, and consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas by cultivating strong dealer relationships and ensuring purchase frequency.
- Lead contract negotiations and close new business, leveraging Pentair's incentive programs (e.g., PIP) and ensuring terms are mutually beneficial for long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales Operations, Technical Support, and Field Application Specialists, to ensure seamless customer support and provide critical market feedback.
- 5+ years of experience in an inside sales or account executive role with full sales cycle responsibility, preferably in the pool or related industry.
- A proven and verifiable track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust in a remote environment, understanding that personalized relationships are key for smaller dealers.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with experience managing complex deal cycles.
- Proficiency with SAP, Salesforce, and MS Office products
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field.
- Formal training in consultative sales methodologies (e.g., Solution Selling, SPIN Selling).
- Deep knowledge of the pool and spa industry market and competitive landscape, specifically relating to builder practices and programs.
- Experience managing accounts that transition between inside and outside sales, and understanding the nuances of these handoffs, with an emphasis on customer-centric transitions.
- The hourly pay for this role is: $38.00 -$42.00/hour, DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
- This position is also eligible for other forms of compensation such as a sales incentive bonus of up to 25%.
