Company Description

The Sales Trainee Northeast will begin their development journey at our manufacturing facility in Tyler, TX, gaining hands-on experience across key operational areas including manufacturing, quality control, shipping, and customer service. Following this initial phase, the trainee will spend approximately six months working closely with a sales representative and/or distribution team, learning all aspects of the sales process in a real-world environment. Upon successful completion of the training program, the trainee will transition to a designated sales territory within the U.S.-with a strong focus on the Northeast Region, including New York City, Boston, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. While preference is given to candidates currently residing in the Northeast, flexibility to relocate nationwide is required.

Job Description

Sales Trainee Northeast

Location:Northeast Region

Pay:$55,000/year to start.

Travel:80%

What You'll Do:

  • Travel through an assigned area to call on and develop relationships with regular and potential distribution customers, municipalities, engineers, etc.
  • Set up product presentations through cold calling, phone calls, and through existing distribution.
  • Prepare price quotations for customers as they pertain to job specifications and product availability.
  • Identifies and works with other team members to resolve customer issues involving product, deliveries, and/or service.
  • Be involved in the industry associations and attend trade shows affiliated with the plumbing industry.
  • Work in a team atmosphere to help develop a stronger company image through personal development and business development, industry ads, as well as other media.

Note:Training period to last about 6-months.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Northeast Territory.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region and nationally.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Team-oriented with multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with AX Dynamics 2012 is a plus.
  • Basic accounting and financial knowledge.
  • Plumbing industry experience is highly desirable.
