Responsibilities
Wekiva Springs Center of Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development. The Director of Business Development is responsible for directing the development and continuous refinement of the facility's business development plan by designing, developing, implementing and directing the business development strategic goals, philosophy, policies and procedures, as well as systems for the department and the facility. Directly supervises a minimum of 5 staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: A Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in health care business development resulting in measurable results. Direct experience developing managed care agreements (especially with capitation and at-risk areas). Detailed knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles. Must have valid driver's license. Familiarity with JCAHO, State and Federal standards and regulations. Organizational skills and ability to interact with and coordinate all levels of staff. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and billing and reimbursement. Third Party Payor requirements pertinent to certifications and decertification's, appeals process.
