Job Description

Intensive Behavioral Health Services can provide educational experience for individuals whose higher education program requires a field practicum pursuant to a higher educational degree. Under the direction and clinical supervision of the Clinical Director and Clinical Supervisor, the student intern will have opportunities to gain experience utilizing the principles of behavior analysis, including but not limited to, teaching coping skills, social skills, emotional support, time-structured activities, and psychological rehabilitative activities to children/adolescents who manifest a wide range of disabilities and functioning levels. The student intern will also assist in activities related to assessment, treatment planning, and therapy services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to the duties and responsibilities associated with the student's educational institution as defined by the college or university learning contract. A signed copy of the college or university learning contract is included with this job description as an addendum.
  • Maintain chart documentation according to regulatory and payer requirements
  • Maintain chart documentation of child's treatment plan goals, including progress notes and data collection
  • Interface with other Elwyn clinical personnel, including therapists, psychologists, behavior consultants, mobile therapists, BHT's relative to the individual's overall treatment plan
  • Attend internal team meetings and other outside meetings as directed by supervisor with the goal to support the needs of the clients in reaching their treatment plan goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
