JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Center for the Business of Sustainability in the Smeal College of Business is seeking applicants for the part-time position of Academic Innovation & Learning Intern.

Job duties to include:

  • Managing and updating the MajorSustainability website to maintain an engaging and accurate educational resource

  • Collaborating with students, faculty, and staff to integrate new content and incorporate user feedback

  • Supporting co-curricular and leadership development initiatives within the Sustainability Leadership Intern Program

  • Serving as a liaison to Student Sustainability Advisory Boards on curriculum and academic initiatives

  • Leading outreach efforts to increase the visibility and engagement of sustainability education resources

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at Penn State University, preferably a 2nd or 3rd year student

  • Strong interest in sustainability, education, and curriculum innovation

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

  • Experience with website content management or digital platforms is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and proactively within a team environment

Schedule:
Approximately 10 hours per week over a 12-week period. Flexible scheduling is available but some coordination with team members and program deadlines is required.

Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $14 per hour.
