The Trauma Continuum of Care
Who We Serve McLean Hospital's Trauma Continuum Partial Hospital and Outpatient Program offers psychiatric and psychological services for adults (18 years of age or older) who have histories of trauma, and are diagnosed with a trauma-related disorder, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and/or dissociative disorders, including Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Partial Hospital Services The focus of partial hospital treatment includes establishing stability through the acquisition and application of grounding techniques, education, and connection with others who share lived experience. Treatment is informed by evidence-based therapies and interventions designed for treating PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder and other trauma-related problems. The group-based treatment program is designed for individuals who need more structure and intensive treatment than can be received from outpatient treatment alone. Additionally, the program serves as an adjunct to individual therapy or as a support during transition from inpatient hospitalization to one's home environment. Outpatient Services Our Outpatient Program offers adjunctive, time-limited, evidence-based, individual and group psychotherapy as well as medication management services.
