Day & Zimmermann is actively accepting applications for a Full time Office Manager in Richland, Washington.

Preferred candidates would live locally to Richland for this On-Site position.


The Office Manager serves as a key administrative and operational support resource, ensuring the smooth execution of office functions and client-facing activities. This role is responsible for coordinating clerical and payroll processes, managing employee onboarding logistics, maintaining accurate timekeeping and fatigue management records, and facilitating communication between contractor teams and the client. The Office Manager must demonstrate strong attention to detail, confidentiality in handling sensitive records, and excellent organizational and communication skills to support a high-functioning and compliant work environment.

As the Office Manager here's the work you will do:



  • Accurately process and validate time entry data using Labor Entry Management (LEM) system and SAP. Cross-reference gate logs/time clocks to ensure payroll accuracy, maintain confidentiality of payroll records, and support monthly fringe reporting.
  • Manage daily office functions including data entry, document filing, recordkeeping, and spreadsheet maintenance. Ensure databases are current and organized to support staffing and compliance efforts.
  • Plan and organize welcome activities for new hires, including scheduling meetings and preparing orientation packages. Support training activities and employee in-processing as directed.
  • Input and monitor fatigue-related data in coordination with the client to ensure that craft personnel adhere to work-hour restriction policies.
  • Update work packages and related documents upon request from the Technical Representative or designee. Ensure version control and timely access to current documents.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Use SAP, Microsoft Office, and internal corporate applications such as Connex, eOnboarding, TempHelp, TimeTrak, Maximo and others as required. Duties include advanced computer skills and problem solving. Advanced skills in Excel may be required, including tables, pivot tables, sorts, and presentation of data.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple departments, establishing strong relationships with internal staff and client staff.
  • Knowledge of general accounting functions.
  • Ability to apply concrete financial analysis concepts beyond simple adherence to detailed procedures and instructions, recommending solutions to unique issues.
  • Awareness of of transactional accounting and cost control principles. Overall understanding of payroll, billing, contract set-up and compliance, including A/R, A/P and fringe processes is required.
  • Highly organized with the ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task with strong detail orientation and with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines. Advanced proficiency using Microsoft suite and knowledge of SAP or other ERP system preferred.

  • BA/BS or related experience
  • 5+ years of experience

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $60,000 - $ 104,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
