Location: Dodson Medical Office BuildingDepartment: Hematology/Oncology HemophiliaShift: First Shift (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours: 40Summary: A Registered Nurse skilled to deliver individualized nursing care to patients/families according to their identified needs. The nursing care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the Specialty Clinic. Expected Care: Comfortable organizing patient and family care within a multidisciplinary clinic. Our program extends from hyper acute to long term care coordination. Knowledgeable about pediatric stroke (hemorrhagic and ischemic), atherosclerosis, vasculopathy, inherited disorders, and rare diseases as they relate to neurodegeneration. Clinical management of stroke and thrombosis patients including but not limited to triaging, implementation of BE FAST, understanding s/s of DVT/PE, surgical planning, and supervision of anticoagulation medications. Ability to triage and assist with new stroke and thrombosis referrals. Coordinate with referring provider when necessary Patient Population: General hematology in addition to all things thrombosis including pulmonary embolisms, deep vein thrombosis, thoracic outlet syndrome, May Thurner syndrome, antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, general thrombophilia, stroke, and complex cardiac kids Education:
