Due to internal promotions and continued growth, we're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Accountant. This hybrid position (3-4 days remote per week) offers strong work-life balance and a great opportunity to launch your accounting career in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Position Summary

This position will be responsible for daily and monthly cash reconciliations, resolving deposit and receipt discrepancies, and collaborating directly with our branch locations and banking partners. In addition to reconciliation duties, this role will assist with journal entries, account analysis, and monthly fluctuation reviews as part of the financial close process.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Reconciliation & Field Support

  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts to the general ledger leveraging state of the art matching technology
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies between bank deposits and system receipts
  • Partner with field locations to resolve missing deposits, incorrect postings, and other variances
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and follow-up actions
  • Post correcting entries as needed to ensure accurate financial records

General Accounting & Month-End Close

  • Assist with month-end journal entries, accruals, and general ledger updates
  • Contribute to monthly flux analysis (variance explanations) and account reviews
  • Support the preparation of schedules and reports for internal and external audits
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or actively pursuing degree with relevant experience)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with field teams and internal departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., basic formulas, sorting, filtering; XLOOKUP and pivot tables a plus)
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
