Billing Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Billing Specialist to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, revising, and finalizing client invoices while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with firm standards. You will collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, and the eBilling team to resolve issues, answer inquiries, and continuously improve billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Prepare, print, and distribute prebills in accordance with firm guidelines.



  • Revise prebills as directed, executing complex billing adjustments accurately and efficiently.



  • Finalize and distribute client invoices in a timely manner.



  • Partner with the eBilling department to troubleshoot and resolve rejected invoices.



  • Respond promptly and professionally to client and attorney billing inquiries, maintaining the highest level of customer service.



  • Identify and correct billing discrepancies to ensure accuracy.



  • Participate in regular meetings with assigned billing attorneys to review and improve billing practices.



  • Offer support on special projects and seek opportunities for professional growth.



  • Recommend process and system improvements to enhance efficiency.



  • Perform other duties as assigned.




Qualifications:




  • Associate's degree preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.



  • Experience in a professional services environment preferred.



  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.



  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.



  • Uncompromising standards of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).



  • Experience with Legal Billing Software or similar billing software a plus.
