Entry Level Software Developer

GFT is seeking an Entry Level Software Developer to join our Construction Management group in Chicago, IL or San Diego, CA! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our office.

What you'll be challenged to do:

Looking for an individual to serve in a versatile role, exposed to many different types of projects and responsibilities within an agile software development team. This position will mainly include, but not be limited to, website and mobile app development for technical applications within the construction industry and in support of the GFT software development team.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Develop and maintain software and mobile applications using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Razor, MAUI, Xamarin, Swift, and SQL.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including test-driven development (TDD), code reviews, debugging, and documentation using Visual Studio and code management platforms.

• Collaborate with clients and team members to identify requirements, resolve technical issues, and contribute to project planning and scope development.

• Conduct research on emerging tools, technologies, and industry trends to improve development practices and system performance.

• Monitor and optimize website performance by analyzing traffic, investigating errors (e.g., in Azure), and implementing fixes as needed.

• Prior experience with frameworks such as LAMP stack, Azure, ESRI (GIS), and agile development process.
• Previous experience with transportation consulting or professional services.
• Experience with mobile application development (IOS & Android).

Employment Status: Full-Time
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000
Salary dependent upon experience and geographic location
