Responsibilities:
- Work with Customer Service and Operations daily to plan order completions supporting 99% On Time Complete (OTC) deliveries. - Own the daily fabrication scheduling process for the 3 shift operations from order receipt to customer delivery - Develop capacity modeling to be included in the scheduling process and identify constraints proactively which would result in failure to meet demand requirements. - Identify performance gaps to capacity model, elevating issues proactively to Production Manager and Plant Manager. - Work closely with Pour Line Manager, Production Manager, and Customer Service to ensure correct "pour line" schedule is achieved. - Monitor inventory levels in all phases of WIP to feed accurate scheduling of Pour Line and Fabrication schedules. - Develop scheduling process with clear lines of responsibility, integrated into the visual factory. - Maintain accuracy of all JDE transactions related to the scheduling module. - Support JDE MRP implementation and drive systems improvements. - Drive inventory accuracy in JDE. Drive factory 5S organization of inventory. - Work closely with the operations team, procurement and transportation in developing and implementing long-term supply chain strategies to maintainhigh level of customer satisfaction. - Gathers data and conducts analysis with the goal of improving the organization's supply chain operations. - Identifies under-performing areas in the supply chain and implements improvements. - Provides input to best utilize the JDE ERP system and ensures accurate maintenance of the database. - Participates in Commercial S&OP process working with Corporate Supply Chain on short term and long termcapacity planning. - Inventory monitoring, production plan vs. actual tracking and inter-plant transfer demand scheduling. - Report out on Daily-Weekly-Monthly metrics. - Define production process improvements across the supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or related area - Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred - APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is desirable - Experience with ERP software packages, and JDE system experience is preferred - Familiarity with logistics and production planning concepts (e.g., just-in-time, materials requirement planning) - Strong level of Excel skills which include formula and pivot table creation. |
