???? Position Overview

As aPatient Care Associatein our Pediatric Intensive Care/Peds Unit, you'll work under the direction of an RN or LPN to support individualized patient care and help each child reach their highest level of wellness. You'll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team performing essential clinical and non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    • High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC
    • OR enrolled in a healthcare career program through high school
    • OR current Mercy co-worker
  • Experience:

    • No experience required - we'll train you!
  • Training:

    • Mercy provides a 175-hour training program (required if no prior experience)
    • Must be completed within 90 days of hire
  • Certifications:

    • BLS required within 1 month of hire
    • PCA competencies completed within 3 months
  • Preferred:

    • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
???? Physical Requirements
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs regularly
  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
