WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Quality Systems & Compliance
Lead regularly scheduled site Quality Management reviews and corrective actions to ensure customer requirements are met. Ensure certifications for all future AS9100 external audits through an active internal audit team. Maintain and improve site quality systems including lot traceability, calibration, material certification, contract review, internal test methods including AQL, CPK evaluation, reliability, etc. Establish and support "Advanced Product Quality Planning" strategies and objectives for supplier product qualifications and new product introductions.
External Quality
Lead successful customer audits, including corrective actions as needed, using advanced methods such as 8D RCCM, 5 Whys, quality alerts, etc. Support warranty and reliability policies and procedures to resolve customer concerns quickly and efficiently. Lead all aspects of testing and AS9102 first article inspections as needed to meet customer requirements within established lead times.
Internal Quality
Use formal processes and sophisticated approaches to prevent defects at the source. Lead or support site-level process improvements using advanced Lean Six Sigma tools-such as 8D RCCM, FMEA, DOE, and fishbone diagrams-alongside regular analysis to identify and act on opportunities for quality improvement. Lead all aspects of the supplier approval and assessment process.
Leadership
Direct supervision of site quality resources, including Quality Engineers and Technicians. Actively support engineering, production, purchasing, and other departments impacting quality. Build a strong and capable team, improving over time to meet strategic goals.
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field) required. 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment strongly preferred. 2+ years of leadership experience strongly preferred. Prior experience in a highly regulated industry (ISO, AS9100, etc.) strongly preferred. Prior experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry with AS9100 Quality Management System preferred.

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $115,500.00 - $214,500.00
