Job Description

Reports to assigned leadership. Provides planning, coordination and direction for preconstruction, construction, and closeout activities on Job Order Contracting Detention projects to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget, with a high degree of quality, making sure to fulfill the requirements of the contract. This position will observe and support construction in the field at an occupied Detention Facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide oversight and reporting of Job Order construction progress.
  • Provide management of project logistics, organization, meetings and reporting.
  • Coordinate and monitor activities of builders/contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities.
  • Manage project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and construction procedures support and administration.
  • Run project meetings and provide meeting minutes including documentation, administration, tracking of relevant information and statuses, and follow-up on action items of all participants.
  • Monitors progress of the project team and provides routine reporting through daily reports & progress photos, Bi-Weekly/Monthly progress reports, Submittal & RFI Logs, Change Order Logs.
  • Ensures contractors, architects, and engineers will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, production, performance, project staffing, and equipment.
  • Participates in project closeout activities including punchlists, trainings, securing record drawings, guarantees, warranties, O&Ms, related provisions for closeout and final project delivery to Owner entities.
  • Performs other duties as required to ensure project success.
  • Consistently follows the organization's safety policy, promoting a positive and collaborative safety culture.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree required. Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in technical disciplines such as Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Construction contract administration experience.
  • Knowledge and application of construction cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices.
  • Understanding of contracts, documents, drawings and specifications.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam, Microsoft Office; and experience with project-related Construction Management systems is preferred.
  • Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) is preferred.
  • Experience in Job Order Contracting (JOC) is preferred.
  • Experience in detention projects is preferred.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$130,000.00.
