Overview

The US Oncology Network is looking for a Surgical and Specialty Services Senior Marketing Specialist to join our team at Texas Oncology. This full-time hybrid position will support our Texas Center for Proton Therapy location at 1501 West Royal Lane. Typical work schedule is Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm.

As a Marketing Specialist at the Texas Oncology Proton Center, you'll play a key role in promoting one of the most advanced cancer treatments available. Help shape patient awareness, physician engagement, and community outreach-driving impact through strategic storytelling and data-driven campaigns. This hybrid role within TCPT and Surgical Services offers a fast-paced, engaging environment with significant growth opportunities in the marketing department. The position provides broad exposure to physicians and senior leadership across the organization, making it ideal for someone looking to expand their professional network and impact. This is a hybrid remote position, requiring in-office presence at the Proton Center approximately three times a week. Occasional travel as needed, less than 20% of the time.

What does the Surgical and Specialty Services Senior Marketing Specialist do? Including but not limited to

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our brand presence and promoting our surgical and specialty services across Texas. As a key member of the marketing team, you will focus on creating, editing, and managing a wide range of marketing collateral to support our strategic objectives. Strong time management skills are essential, as this role requires balancing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities: including but not limited to:

  • Campaign Management: Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns that drive awareness and engagement for surgical and specialty services. Monitor and analyze campaign performance to optimize future initiatives. The ideal candidate will be familiar an comfortable pulling data and providing analysis.
  • Digital Marketing: Support digital marketing efforts by creating patient stories for website, minor photography, email marketing campaigns, and updating content on the Texas Oncology website to engage a wider audience.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and patient needs, using insights to inform marketing strategies and content development.
  • Collateral Creation and Editing: Develop, design, and edit high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, presentations, and digital content, ensuring all materials align with Texas Oncology's brand guidelines and messaging. Attention to detail is crucial to maintain consistency and accuracy across all collateral.
  • Content Writing: Create and contribute to the development of compelling written content for publications, leveraging strong storytelling skills to craft articles and thought leadership pieces with an eye for accuracy, clarity, and audience engagement.
  • Event Planning and Management: Coordinate and manage events, webinars, and community outreach programs related to surgical and specialty services. This includes planning logistics, promoting events, and ensuring successful execution to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical staff, public relations, internal comms, liaison team, leadership, and external agencies to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the position will have the following background and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
    • Or
  • Associate's degree and four (4) years of related experience
    • Or
  • Eight (8) years of related work experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of additional experience in marketing, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Proficient in data mining and translating insights into actionable marketing strategies and informed decision-making.
  • Strong proficiency in editing and creating marketing collateral, with a keen eye for detail and design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and website content management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining a meticulous focus on details.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to collaboration.
  • Some travel required.
