The Cloud Security group within SBG focuses on developing cloud delivered security solutions (SaaS based) in a platform centric approach. This group values and nurtures innovation in an incredibly powerful and high growth domain. The group was formed by combining some of the existing cloud assets Cisco had with two hugely successful acquisitions - OpenDNS and CloudLock. Our vision is to build the most complex security solutions in a cloud delivered way with utmost simplicity - disrupt industry's thinking around how deep and how broad a security solution can be while keeping it easy to deploy and simple to manage. We are at an exciting stage of this journey with 100% YoY growth, and looking for a hard-working, innovative, and productive engineering leader for our Product and Infra Engineering group to help us scale our business.

Your Impact

We are seeking an experienced Software Technical Leader to drive the design, development, and delivery of innovative software solutions for Zero Trust Access. The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing engineering team, architect scalable and secure software systems, and collaborate multi-functionally to advance our Zero Trust security initiatives.

• Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle for Cloud Security solutions including Zero Trust Access solutions, ensuring high quality, security, and scalability.
• Architect and design software components that enforce Zero Trust principles such as continuous authentication, least privilege access, and micro-segmentation.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices in secure software development and Zero Trust architecture.
• Collaborate with product management, security architects, and other collaborators to define technical requirements and roadmap.
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and integrating them into Zero Trust solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Solve and resolve complex technical issues related to Zero Trust and Cloud security software components.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, code quality, and security awareness within the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of cloud security concepts and architectures, including Zero Trust Access, Secure Web Gateways, Cloud Firewalls, and cloud security control points.
• Programming experience with one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, or C++.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with identity and access management (IAM), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and network security protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of experience in software development with a focus on security and access control.
• Experience managing and mentoring software engineering teams.

• Experience in cloud security-related products or projects.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS).
• Participation in open-source security projects or possession of certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
