| General Summary of the Position 
 The Equipment Operator must have the ability to safely and efficiently operate a variety of heavy equipment utilized in the construction of Landfill caps, road construction, excavation of contaminated material, loading trucks and Clearing and Grubbing required to complete remediation requirements of the specific site and excavation of contaminated soil, backfill of material and finish grading consistent with standard environmental procedures proficiently. Requires knowledge of equipment maintenance and equipment capabilities and maintain equipment in safe operating condition with the ability to identify and report repairs needed by mechanic.
 
 Salary Range: Hourly rate $28.12 with 1.5 multiplier for time over 40 hours per week.
 
 SCA Hourly Health & Welfare fringe of $4.54
 
 Essential Duties
 
 
 
 Operate multiple types of heavy equipment of various sizes and weights able to establish required grades and cuts within acceptable tolerancesProperly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Director or HR Manager Follow Daily Procedures & Protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainingsPerform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisor; keeping equipment cleanAssist in the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices. Control traffic at work sites by flagging to guide traffic through work areas, as required or assignedAssist as laborers and/or technicians as requested by supervisors and foreman to expedite work as needed and aid personnel to operate the site in a safe mannerPass training in shoring and sloping as required by OSHA, safety requirements, KEMRON SOPs and Military safety requirements
 Physical Work Activities and Exposure
 
 Operators must have visual acuity for both near and far distances and better than average coordination in order to operate both hand and foot levers simultaneously. They must have good judgment in order to perform complicated tasks and must be able to work closely with other crafts without constant supervision. Operators must be constantly alert and observant of their surroundings.

 Considerable knowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles on multiple types of equipment. Ability to operate the equipment under varying working conditionsWorking knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in environmental remediation and construction workWorking knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations and work safelyAbility to perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion and potential exposure to adverse weather conditionsAbility to work from construction specifications or blueprints and achieve grades and specifications as design efficiently Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructionsAbility to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistencyOperate GPS and Laser guided indicator systems to meet grade specificationsDetermine the correct equipment best suited for specific tasks
 Education, Training and Experience Required
 
 
 
 Requires five (5) years of experience in operating heavy equipment, two (2) of which must be related to environmental constructionMust have sufficient education to make appropriate arithmetic equations and complete written documentation; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristicsRequires 40-hour OSHA Hazardous Waste worker trainingRequires 8-hour refresher training as required by OSHACertified first aid and CPR training preferred
 Special Requirements
 
 
 
 Must possess valid and appropriate state driver's license with no active violations within the previous three years prior to employment and have good driving history approved by KEMRON's insurance carrier that qualifies employee to drive company vehicles. (CDL holders are preferred) Must understand and sign-off on Corporate and worksite Health and Safety Plan(s)Must have sloping and shoring trainingMust have Equipment Operator Safety Training5 (five) years of experience required
