A Taste of What You'll Do

Are you ready to start your career in the heart of our packaging production team? We are looking for dedicated and motivated individuals to join us as Packaging Technicians. Under general supervision, you will learn and execute various tasks essential to our production process. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing equipment, performing wine movements, and operating less complex machinery, all while upholding our high standards of safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Our ideal candidate is someone who demonstrates situational awareness and a sense of urgency on the production floor. You will receive comprehensive training to gain proficiency in areas such as forklift operation, equipment functionality, cellar operations, and KPI tracking. In addition, you will perform housekeeping tasks to maintain the cleanliness and organization of your work area and support our Tetra packaging department. Your role will involve equipment center changeovers, sanitation activities, and ensuring compliance with sustainability policies. You will be responsible for routine production reporting, quality checks, and communicating effectively with team members and leadership

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate and 6 months of food and beverage production or operations experience; or, 18 months of food or beverage production or manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to regularly lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to be physically capable of executing any job tasks within the bottling room or cellar operations.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift and uncase production cases and/or production materials from one location to another.
  • Required to work rotating day, swing or graveyard 8 hour to 11.75 hour-shift schedule, and overtime as needed.
  • Required to wear a respirator when necessary.
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Required to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Required to comply with company GMP policies.
  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

  • High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of wine production or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience showing versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
  • Experience operating a forklift proficiently.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Proficient in using a computer.
  • Experience being a team player.
  • Experience understanding and following written and verbal instructions.
  • Skilled in basic mathematical operations.
