Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a passion for revenue operations and a knack for navigating complex global processes? Clarivate Analytics is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to play a pivotal role in our global revenue accounting operations and close processes. In this high-impact position, you'll support the Revenue Manager and collaborate across teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellence in financial reporting. If you bring at least 2 years of experience in general accounting, revenue operations, and commissions - especially within a global organization - we'd love to hear from you.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments...

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in the field of Accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline
  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Excel (pivot tables, macros, etc.)

It would be great if you also had...

  • Revenue accounting or audit experience
  • CPA and/or MBA a plus
  • Mix of public accounting and industry experience

What will you be doing in this role?...

  • Execution of the monthly global revenue close, ensuring accurate results are delivered on a timely basis for reporting in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS
  • Perform global revenue and deferred revenue account reconciliations and flux analysis
  • Help lead the implementation of best practices for revenue team counterparts worldwide to scale business and global revenue expansion
  • Develop/refine accounting processes and procedures related to revenue reporting
  • Support external and internal audit requests related to specific areas of responsibility
  • Work cross-functionally with Global Teams including Finance,Sales, Sales Operations, FP&A, Billing, AR, IT and other key ownersof policies, processes and programs
  • Participate in special projects, system enhancements or ad hoc analyses as assigned
  • Apply strong analytical skills to improve various aspects of the revenue reporting and reconciliation processes
  • Improve business processes, reporting, and controls
  • Build bridges and work effectively across a global organization and who has strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Address each task with a sense of urgency, manage multiple responsibilities, and generate a high volume of quality work

About the Team

The Revenue Accounting Team is comprised of 5 accounting professionals located primarily in Philadelphia. As a member of this team, you will collaborate with your colleagues to support the monthly financial close, investigate and reconcile balance sheet accounts, and support both internal and external financial audits. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager, Revenue and provides the opportunity to work with a wide range of accounting and finance professionals across the Global Controllership and Finance teams.

Hours of Work

  • Full Time, EST time zone
  • This is a hybrid role working 2 days a week in our Philadelphia, PA office location
  • Ability to be flexible with working hours across regions and time zones worldwide
