Statement of Purpose
Provide onsite technical assistance to associated nonprofit agencies (NPAs) to enable agency compliance with AbilityOne Program regulations and requirements for AbilityOne-qualified NPAs. Review new AbilityOne Program policies/requirements and assist in the development and implementation of the NPA-required practices associated with those requirements. Assist NPAs in understanding and complying with other laws and regulations for government contractors and nonprofit agencies.

Education
A bachelor's degree in business or human resources or related discipline from a regionally accredited university or college. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be acceptable.
Training and Specialized Knowledge
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of the AbilityOne Program or vision rehabilitation is preferred
- Knowledge of federal contractor requirements preferred (e.g. Service Contract Act)
- Familiarity with labor laws and regulations preferred (e.g. OSHA)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaboratively develop a schedule with other compliance team members to visit all NIB NPAs annually
- Coordinate with NPAs on scheduling qualification assessment reviews, to include pre-review requirements
- Conduct qualifications assessments in accordance with AbilityOne Program requirements and NIB's qualification assessment review process
- Review and provide feedback on new compliance requirements presented by the AbilityOne Commission
- Educate NPAs on new requirements and provide guidance on steps necessary for compliance
- Guide NPAs in the development of plans to address findings, and in the event of violations, prescribe corrective action plans
- Manage and track the post-review process through closure, including monitoring the timeliness and effectiveness (when possible) of corrective actions taken by NPAs
- Create and submit to the AbilityOne Commission follow-up reports by the required deadline(s)
- Assist in training of NPA staff on an annual and as-needed basis
- Assist in the planning and implementation of NIB's annual NPA compliance training event
- Provide remote and onsite assistance to NPAs requiring or requesting special assistance
- Assist other team members with continuous improvement of compliance/qualifications assessment review processes and procedures
- Provide additional assistance and support to the compliance team as directed
