TITLE: Propulsion Control Systems Manager

DUTIES: Provide strategic and technical leadership in developing Electric Vehicle (EV) related propulsion controls solutions; promote culture of innovation by researching, developing, and patenting critical EV technologies; create roadmaps for Electric Drive Systems (EDM) controls and energy management solutions; evaluate solutions for sustainability to meet carbon net zero; leverage the e-mobility ecosystem and connected services to enhance customer experience; track and manage projects, budget and resources in innovation workstream; Develop systems requirements and operating strategies; utilize sensor in feedback and feedforward control strategies; develop controls systems using controls techniques like Model Predictive Control (MPC), Machine Learning; Integrate concept controls in production software, including torque characterization, battery thermal management, supervisory controls, and optimization strategies; realize energy efficiency by calibration and performance optimization; lead Rapid Prototyping Controls (RPC) for innovation projects to demonstrate new technologies for EVs; generate Design Validation Plan and Result (DVP&R) for controls algorithms; validate EV controls by Model-in-Loop (MIL), Hardware-in-Loop (HIL), Dynamometer and vehicle testing. Up to 20% domestic and international travel is required.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering or related and 8 years of experience in job offered or related position in automotive engineering. Experience must include: working with automotive propulsion modeling, simulation, development, testing, and validation; development of embedded software; data management and advanced controls techniques; working with ETAS-INCA, CAS, Matlab/Simulink; working with 0-D and 1-D physical modeling tools; working with rapid prototype controllers.

OTHER: Job Site: 800 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. 40 hours/week. If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S.
