Position summary: Reporting directly to the company's Vice-President, this position's primary responsibility is creating accurate electrical Auto Cad drawings based on our Estimator's Bid / Design. This position will assist all Project Managers and Estimators in their day-to-day operations of a job (pre-bid, take-offs, job maintenance, development and close outs) as well as any administrative needs for the PM team. Essential functions: The duties identified below are the essential functions of the position. Other duties may be assigned that align with the summary of this position. 1. Proficient with Computer Aide Design (CAD) construction documents. 2. Works directly with the Project Management Team support them with their day-to-day operations, including, but not limited to, contacting vendors for electrical quotes, entering bid information into Accubid software etc. 3. Prepares job estimates and quotations on computer on a regular basis, submits to management for approval on a timely manner. 4. Forecasts job needs including material needed, labor and timeline requirements. 5. Maintains and files job records to include open bids, lost bids, awarded projects and complete jobs. 6. Contributes insights, observations and information that supports the short and long term job planning and design work phases. Qualifications: To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skill required. The individual must be able to successfully pass background checks. Experience required: - Degree or experience in Construction Project Management, - Degree or experience in Architectural Drafting - Electrical drafting is a plus. - Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools. Including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point Knowledge and skills required: - Familiar with job costing software is a plus. - Familiar with Accubid Estimating Software is a plus. - Honesty and trustworthiness - Understanding of a construction job day-to-day operations - Ability to work for the team's goals - Excellent organization skills and attention to detail - Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision - Outstanding interpersonal relationship building. Physical requirements: To accomplish the essential functions of the position, one must be physically able to operate or work with computers, calculators, reference books, computer software applications, phones and other standard office equipment. The physical activities of the position include talking, reaching, light lifting, bending, squatting, and other repetitive motions.
