TSC Operation Highlights

TSC also provides full spectrum systems engineering support including theoretical analysis, requirements generation, interface control, and test planning/execution/data analysis.

Job Description:

TSC in Huntsville, AL is actively recruiting a Quality Control Inspector V with experience in mechanical inspection and knowledge of electronic components and assemblies. This role will support production programs by performing in-process inspections of mechanical parts and electronic assemblies. Inspection will include interpreting and following sampling plans, documenting results of inspections, and seeking disposition of nonconforming parts or assemblies when necessary. This position prefers an individual who promotes continual improvement; and has the ability to perform at high-levels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As part of the Quality team, other quality duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-process inspections of mechanical parts and electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies for multiple programs in various stages of production
  • Document and process nonconforming parts to ensure containment and proper disposition
  • Review technical data package documentation to ensure correct revision levels are in use

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or 6+ years of mechanical inspection experience
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges (pin, depth, height), etc.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience inspecting military finishes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience working in a quality team environment with buyers, engineers and program managers
  • Must be a team player and self-starter with excellent communication skills and be able to work with little to no supervision
  • Must have basic knowledge and understanding of electrostatic discharge controls and prevention practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Ability to accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Experience using PLM, PDM, and configuration control process
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
