HJF is seeking a Senior Research Associate who performs and oversees research and/or development in collaboration with other scientific and technical staff. Exercises technical discretion in the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies. Supervises and provides direction for lower level Research Associates and laboratory staff.

Global Engagement and Research at the Northern Philippines, Poland/Baltics and High North GHERI Project. These projects involve comprehensive strategy for combat casualty care that require a current understanding of medical capacity, capability, and resilience within North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies and partnering nations.

We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike.   • Performs complex data analysis and interpretation and makes recommendations from analyses.
  • Performs administrative and managerial research work.
  • Performs qualitative research such as key informant interview, focus group and other research interview methodology, followed by analyses involving multiple procedures and a variety of technical approaches
  • Develops methods and procedures for qualitative research and investigations.
  • Leads the development of knowledge products, such as publication in technical and peer-reviewed journals, abstracts, and presentations
  • Summarizes results for inclusion in scientific and clientele-oriented publications.
  • Supervises the work of assigned staff, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, and participating in performance evaluations.
  • Analyzes and prepares survey documentation..
  • Documents current or new procedures or protocols for sample selection, data collection, data processing, and/or statistical analysis.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor/client. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.
  • Plan and conduct international travel amongst research staff.


Supervisory Responsibilities



  • Assigned Lead: May recommend the following: employee hiring, disciplinary action, and provide input on employee performance evaluations.


Education and Experience



  • Master's Degree required in Public Health, Health Sciences, Global Health or related field.
  • Minimum of 9-10 years experience required.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Global health system knowledge and engagement Qualitative research experience conducting interviews and independent analysis of transcripts using NVivo, MAXQDA software's and qualitative programs
  • Knowledge of Global Health Qualitative programs, such as NVivo, MAXQDA, etc.
  • Previous experience in scientific writing for peer reviewed publications, in addition to 'report writing
  • Experience in qualitative research: conducting interviews and independent analysis of transcripts using various Software
  • Knowledge of extremely complex qualitative research procedures.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines of projects.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Public Trust Clearance.

Work Environment



  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.


Compensation



  • The annual salary/hourly pay range for this position is $112,000.00-$130,000.00 Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
