We're looking for a QA Training Specialist to join the Benefits Division at Symetra!

About the role

We're seeking a detail-oriented QA Training Specialist with strong experience in group benefits-including STD, LTD, FMLA, Supplemental Health, Life, and LWOP-to support quality assurance and training efforts across our Group Benefits Claims teams. This role ensures operational excellence through coaching, training, and process improvement.

What you will do



  • Conduct quality reviews of claims and transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to best practices
  • Deliver constructive feedback and coaching to team members
  • Develop and coordinate on training programs for new hires and ongoing learning initiatives
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend performance solutions
  • Collaborate with practices, leadership, and cross-functional teams to support service delivery
  • Participate in audits, projects, and assist with production work during peak periods

Compensation

Hourly Range: $26.30 - $43.87 plus eligibility for annual bonus program

Who You Are



  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in group benefits (STD, LTD, FMLA, Life, LWOP, and/or Supplemental Health)
  • Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs required
  • Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and think critically
  • Self-motivated and works well independently
  • Naturally curious and creative thinker
