Department: Behavioral Health Full-Time position 8:00am-4:30pm. Weekends- Yes GENERAL SUMMARY Develops and implements activity therapy treatment plans. Responsibilities: Conducts patient assessments and establishes recreational/leisure therapy treatment goals.\| Evaluates each patient's progress and the effectiveness of recreational/leisure therapy interventions. Coordinates therapeutic recreational/leisure activities for both large and small groups. Observes patient response and encourages socialization. Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic recreational/leisure activities in the community. Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association Experience Preferred: Therapist specializing in Recreation credentialed from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification preferred. Associates or higher in Recreational Therapy preferred. Excellent communication skills Excellent computer skills Previous experience with Behavioral Health populations preferred- minimum 1 years preferred. Education: Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. No additional preferences.
