Job Summary
#CA-FT The Clinical Applications Professional 4 (CAP4) is a technical leader in Clinical Applications with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas. This position leads or works on medium to large projects of broad scope and high complexity, applying problem-solving acumen that frequently requires analysis of unique issues/ problems without precedent and / or structure. This role will manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources and functions with a high degree of autonomy. - Epic certification in at least 1 Epic Application (or successfully complete training and certification for 1 application, as approved by management, within 12 months)
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience or training
- Experience with analysis, build, implementation and support of healthcare information systems, workflows, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with clinical information systems or system implementation teams for complex projects and/or application development.
- Experience resolving complaints and grievances in a professional and confidential manner.
- Demonstrated experience leading information system projects in a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated experience applying advanced project management strategies and concepts ensuring consistent project success.
- Experience with large-scale databases.
- Proficient in office automation software (word processing, spreadsheets, visual presentation such as MS Project, Visio, etc.)
- Experience with Epic Data Courier Administration.
- Experience managing Epic security and access.
- Experience with Business Continuity/Resiliency and Disaster Recovery.
- Ability to apply advanced problem-resolution skills to highly complex issues, quickly diagnose problems, and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Advanced ability to serve as a technical leader and information resource, and to work collaboratively with key personnel and management, providing guidance and recommendations on systems, improvements, upgrades, and industry advances and trends.
- Advanced analytical skills and expertise in documentation and reporting, with the ability to apply metrics, plan and implement testing systems, collect and analyze performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses for management use.
- Advanced ability to serve as a technical leader and information resource, and to work collaboratively with key personnel and management, providing guidance and recommendations on systems, improvements, upgrades, and industry advances and trends.
- Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates problem-solving skills. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines
- Advanced ability to manage Data Courier interfaces and analyze how various Epic application build packages interact and potentially conflict with others as they are migrated between Epic environments.
- Advanced ability to serve as a technical leader and information resource, and to work collaboratively with key personnel and management, providing guidance and recommendations on improving security and access to our Epic applications, improving our business resiliency stance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic Certification in one or more of the following: Epic Client System Administration (ECSA), MyChart, EpicCare Link, Care Everywhere, or Data Courier
- Experience working with interfaced/integrated multi-vendor applications.
- Experience in a academic institution or large integrated health system.
- Experience managing Epic workstations, printers and print classes.
- Experience analyzing all levels (local, state, federal) of regulatory requirements with respect to systems implementation
- Advanced ability to assess clinical department workflows and optimize application, workstation and printer output configuration.
