Summary
The Supervisor of Information Systems is a leadership position responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining assigned systems within the organization such as Electronic Health Record, ERP, Document Imaging, Clinical, Revenue, Integrations, etc. This position provides oversight of production support, staff, project resourcing, enhancement implementation in addition to staff mentoring. Additionally, this position is responsible for supporting upgrades and project go lives, holding respective vendors accountable to their committed performance levels, provides consultative IS advice to the department and organization leadership, may conduct project discovery/research for solving and delivering complex problems/solutions. This position leads, supports and retains assigned staff while promoting teamwork and providing direction on assigned duties. Serves as a role model in the areas of work ethic, values, leadership and customer service while demonstrating genuine concern for patients and the community Develops and maintains effective relationships and communications with all IS leaders, IS staff, and other organization leaders and staff. Assumes other duties as assigned.
- Both Epic Resolute HBandEpic Resolute PB Certification or Proficiency Required.
- Additional Epic Certifications, Proficiencies, or Badges preferred.
- Three years of managerial experience and/or ten years combined IS/operational experience required, supporting both professional/physician and acute/hospital revenue cycle workflows and processes (patient financial experience, charge capture, clinical integration, charge routing, charge reconciliation and coding, contract maintenance, claims processing, denials management & insurance follow up, remittance, customer service/self-pay follow up, statement processing, patient collections and bad debt workflows).
- Three years Epic build experience required.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of subject matter expertise in both hospital and professional billing standard business practices and workflows, associated Epic build, and integration with other IS systems (including claims clearinghouse integration, data extracts, FTP, HL7 interfaces, etc.).
- Able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of standard IT governance processes and workflows for IS-related projects.
- Able to serve as a liaison between revenue cycle, finance, IS infrastructure, and clinical areas (for both IS and operational areas, including relationships with vendors and executive leadership).
- Responsible for overall prioritization and demand management of IS resources for project and non-project related tasks and responsibilities for team.
- Able to both provide consultation on, and assist, with complex Epic-related build and system integration tasks.
- Responsible for supervision of the workload & performance of staff for both the Hospital and Professional Billing IS teams, including coaching, training, evaluations, & direction-setting.
- Work as a resource on special projects and tasks as assigned.
