YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE
We are looking for a Dispatcher in 3600 Eagle Nest Dr, North Building, Crete, IL 60417 USA. Your mission will be to:
Arrange work schedule of the courier routes to ensure that all clients' samples are picked up and accounted for in a safe and timely manner.
Verify that the courier logs are documented correctly and no data obliteration is present. Ensure that all cooler temperatures and sample temperatures are recorded properly.
Schedule incoming client requests for sample pick-ups. Identify their requirements for time and place of pick-up and any supplies needed.
Educate and train courier personnel on correct sample handling and storage of different sample matrix during transport, as well as correct procedure of sample hand-off to sample receiving personnel.
Maintain courier route sheets and route books to ensure all information is current and up to date.
Maintain courier-training files and ensure that all couriers have been trained to and completed IMS Weighers and Samplers license.
Help coordinate, track, and maintain special sampling programs.
Assist couriers with routing and needed materials. Pick up samples as needed.
Maintain inventory of sampling supplies.
Maintain knowledge of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) that is required to complete job responsibilities.
Support corporate quality and continuous improvement process.
Perform other related duties as needed.
YOUR PROFILE
Required skills:
A basic knowledge of food science obtained from related job experience.
A broad knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and policies is necessary to ensure a safe working environment.
A general knowledge of the Laboratory Information Management System is required to ensure accurate entry and proper documentation.
Supervisory skills are essential to secure proper and efficient daily operation of assigned tasks.
This position requires fully developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to interface with clients and build departmental relationships.
Client empathy and a general knowledge of service attributes that support high client satisfaction are required to provide proactive and responsive service to clients.
Planning skills are needed to ensure that samples are received properly for future procedures.
Work Environment:
Works in a laboratory setting with proper lighting and temperature control. Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials will occur when in the laboratory. The incumbent is required to lift 10-50 pounds of sample as they are received. This individual works extensively with the computer on a daily basis to obtain and enter information. The incumbent can expect extended time spent in a standing position.
Compensation Range:
$18 - $22 USD Per Hour
