Pay Grade

Salaried Grade 5

Pay range is $61,500 to $69,100 / year, depending on qualifications and experience. The base salary range represents the starting and expected pay for this position. Actual salaries may vary and in some cases may be higher with extensive experience and strong performance.

Schedule

2nd or 3rd shift (Trainee may work on all shifts as part of training; final placement will depend on openings and shift preference).

Job Summary

As the Supervisor Trainee, you will be selected for an in-house training program that has class room and on the job components. You will observe, learn and perform supervisory responsibilities. After successful completion of the supervisor training program you will be assigned to lead a bakery production line in the Gentry, AR plant 3 facility.

This role will provide department-level leadership to achieve daily production while coaching and developing the right behaviors for safety, food safety, quality, leading teams and production.

  • Assist with supervision of employees in packaging and/or process areas in the plant
  • Follow, promote and enforce company policies and procedures, work processes, product purity and safety standards
  • Implementing Lean Manufacturing principles to improve lean culture in the area of responsibility

INSTRUCTIONS:

Required Qualifications

The following is required for you to be considered for the role:

  • 1 year of college (31 or more semester credit hours of college) OR
  • 2 years supervisory experience OR
  • 5 years McKee Foods Corporation experience with at least 1 year in a pay grade B or above AND
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Excellent work performance record
  • Successfully complete McKee Foods assessments
  • Successfully follow the online application process instructions (above)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in supervision with production responsibilities within a food manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years' experience in a Team Lead Trainer position (TLT)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Business, Engineering, Communication, HR, Safety or a field related to manufacturing
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, MSS, Workday
  • Knowledge of (Lean) principles
  • Experience training others
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills including well-developed verbal skills, interpersonal skills, and strong presentation skills.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to assimilate new information and processes quickly.
  • Understanding and compliance with McKee Foods Company guiding values and company policies
  • Completion of MOS training
  • Background in food safety and sanitation

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to climb stairs on a regular basis
  • Frequent walking/standing
