Position Description
Works under the direct supervision Superintendent, Technical Supervisors, Crew Leaders, and experienced Technicians to become familiar with the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the following Power Delivery assets: Switchyards, control houses, power transformers, power circuit breakers, station service and instrument transformers, automatic circuit interrupters, Wellman voltage regulators, motor operated disconnects (MOD), and fleet vehicles and equipment.
Essential Tasks:
Works under the direct supervision of experienced Substation Maintenance personnel to troubleshoot problems on the power system. Assists Tech. Supervisors in consulting with manufactures and/or vendors to resolve various problems on substation equipment. Assists Superintendent and Tech. Supervisors in coordinating with Transmission Operations, Design Engineering, System Planning, Generation and other groups, as required, to insure that Substation Maintenance is advised of upcoming work and that construction projects, repairs, and maintenance are completed in a timely fashion. Attends Substation Maintenance staff meetings, safety meetings and various technical conferences throughout the year. Stays current on all assigned training through My Learning or instructor led classes. Assists Tech. Supervisors and Testing Engineers with the oversight of all preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and interpreting test results. Assists asset management group with maintaining accurate records on equipment, corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance using Maximo. Helps insure that previously entered data records are accurate. Assists Superintendents Technical Supervisors, Crew Leaders, and Technicians to direct the daily activities of Substation Maintenance. Must be available for on-call rotation.

Engineer I
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited college/university.
Compensation Information:
$74,010 - $92,500 (min.-mid.)
Engineer II
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited college/university + 2 years experience.
Compensation Information:
$82,520 - $103,140 (min.-mid.)
Engineer III
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited college/university + 5 years of utility experience required. FE certification required.
Compensation Information:
$91,990 - $114,990 (min.-mid.)
