Performs accounts receivable functions according to standard Policies and Procedures under direction of supervision. Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Maintains trial balance and produces periodical reports by customer. Reports should be completed by 10:00 am Tuesday. - Bills all authorized charge accounts and should be completed by 10:00 AM Tuesday. - Rebills all skipped invoices on a weekly basis. - Maintains all receivables in balance with General Ledger distribution. - Responds to customer account inquires. - Accounts for the numerical sequence of invoice, payment, customer maintenance and discount maintenance update. - Ensures that checks, received are applied to proper account and invoice. All Payments must be applied in the week they are received. (No payments may be carried over to the following week.) - Performs payment update confirmation as outlined in the manual A/R control system. - Ensures proper sales tax is applied to customers account. - Maintains cleanliness of work area. Keep desk/files organized. - Responsible for contacting customers regarding any partial payments that are put on the accounts. - Strong communication with bakery regarding adjustments and customer invoice requests. - Must be able to use a ten key calculator. - Must be able to establish priorities and proceed without supervision. - Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc. - Performs other duties as directed by supervision. - Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.) - Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
