Job Purpose: Strativia is seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to support our client in advancing building systems research. This role will focus on HVAC performance testing, refrigerant systems, plumbing hydraulics, and laboratory upgrades. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a research lab environment, troubleshooting complex systems, and fabricating technical solutions. Responsibilities: Assist with fault detection and diagnostics (FDD) for commercial HVAC systems. Build, install, and test refrigerant charge and combustion test equipment. Support upgrades to heat pump and plumbing test facilities (wiring, sensors, panels). Design, fabricate, and assemble mechanical/electrical components. Install and integrate networks of temperature, flow, and pressure sensors. Maintain CAD drawings, fabrication records, and progress reports. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in technical support, fabrication, or laboratory operations. Proficiency with milling machines, lathes, and CAD software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS). Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and refrigerant systems. Experience with Office 365 and data acquisition tools.
