Job Description

Job Summary - Works as a member of the Maintenance Department; Responsible for performing all necessary maintenance work in the field of electronics to maintain a high level of plant production. This will include both analog and digital systems, instrumentation and primarily, but not limited to, solid stated circuitry.



Duties Include:




  • Repair and calibrate various operation equipment. This equipment includes: Tank instrumentation and analog systems, batch house weighing systems, closed circuit T.V., digital measuring systems, servo positioning systems, variable speed inverters, printers, terminals, communications systems, automatic inspection systems and a variety of others. Also capable of troubleshooting problems associated with the hardware and software of Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Will maintain various test equipment in the electronics shop and Q.C. lab.
  • Will perform a variety of related duties, such as: filling out reports, keeping accurate shop log and accounting for materials and supplies. They will assist other plant personnel such as machine operators, to improve total plant operations and perform other related duties as directed by Team Leader or supervision. As a maintenance department employee, they are a member of the Emergency Response Team.
  • Must observe all safety rules and plant procedures and will perform their work in a safe and orderly manner. They must maintain good housekeeping in their specific work area and will assist in other areas of the plant.
  • Must be capable of reading electronic schematics and using them to troubleshoot a system. They must know the theory of operation of electronic components and be capable of testing the components to determine their condition.
  • Must be qualified and capable of testing and repairing printed circuit boards, modules and other electronic components.
  • Must stay abreast of changes in electronic devices to improve their skills and qualification in their field of responsibility.




Requirements:



  • 2 year degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent experience in field
