As a Railcar Mover Resident Field Technician, you'll be the go-to expert for our customers, providing on-site troubleshooting, service, and repair of railcar movers directly at their work locations. This position operates as a Field Technician based in eastern or southeastern Colorado, allowing you to support customers throughout the region. In this hands-on role, you'll represent Foley Equipment with professionalism and skill, ensuring our customers' equipment stays running safely and reliably. Your work helps keep critical operations moving forward. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustments Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments Some troubleshooting on equipment may occasionally be required Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers on their repairs Develop and maintain long-lasting working relationships with customers Must be willing to work overtime as required by fluctuating workloads and available for after-hours calls as needed Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations. Our Ideal Candidate: Basic mechanical knowledge including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications Ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL What will put you ahead: Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry Railcar mover maintenance and repair experience (Shuttlewagon preferred) Understand crane hoist and rigging equipment (preferred) Stable work history Valid Class A CDL This position is open to all qualified applicants.
