Job Summary Relocation and housing are not provided for these positions. Field in-house and customers' requests for software innovations that increase quality and efficiency while decreasing cost. Efficient time management and a sense of urgency are critical to being successful. This position requires technical understanding and aptitude particularly in the area of software development and testing. Candidate would be working directly with a PAS Lead Software Engineer across multiple software projects, with a primary focus on our Watcher application-a Python/Flask-based system that monitors Machine Works events and dispatches notifications when configured thresholds are exceeded. An ideal candidate would possess both software engineering and chemical/electrical/mechanical engineering background in order to offer valuable perspective and strong analytical skills that have proven useful in past collaborations with PAS Project Engineering teams as well as Sales. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Assisting in testing workflows and edge cases in Watcher * Contributing to documentation for internal tools and user-facing materials * Supporting exploratory work on new platforms, technologies, and automation strategies * Writing and reviewing code for Watcher and other internal tools, where appropriate * Helping with quality assurance efforts and regression tracking * Collaborating across departments where software intersects with sales, process engineering, or other pursuits Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
