JOB ANNOUNCEMENT PROJECT COORDINATOR - EXCLUDED CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE SECTION # of positions: 2 (Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval) Starting Salary: $69,684; Grade: BX-15 Applications for this position will be accepted until 11:59 pm CDT on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Support the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner in the day-to-day responsibilities of the Customer Experience Team
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Manage contractors to provide best-in-class customer service to travelers at the airports' information desks * Check on the information desks to ensure all current information is displayed. * Coordinate and manage surveys to improve the passenger experience across both airports. Create reports and metrics to support operations within the Department * Oversee line-level managerial staff to complete various customer service projects * Assist with managing customer correspondence inbox, averaging 5,0000 pieces of communication annually. * Implement airport training programs for the division. * Manage the financial management system for the division. Procure expenses, manage the section's budget, update on yearly spend. * Other duties as they relate to Customer Experience Section. Additional duties may be required for this position. Location: 1000 West O'hare, Terminal 3 Days: Monday - Friday Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm THIS POSITION IS IN THE CAREER SERVICE. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS * Seven (7) years of program administration work experience, OR * Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate's degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning or a directly related field, PLUS five (5) years of program administration work experience, OR * Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning or a directly related field, PLUS three (3) years of program administration work experience, OR * Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree or higher in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning or a directly related field, PLUS two (2) years of program administration work experience Disclaimer - "Accredited" means any nationally or regionally accredited college, university, or law school where the applicant is enrolled in or has completed an Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Juris Doctorate degree program.
