Responsibilities

The Residential Supervisor oversees direct care staff and manages a clinical residence to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for clients. This role acts as a bridge between departments, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures while maintaining a secure environment and supporting the direct care team.

  • Train and oversee direct care staff, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, licensing regulations, and the mission, vision, and values of Newport Healthcare. Continuously monitor and provide feedback, coaching, and training to direct care staff.
  • Assist in daily task management and uphold high job performance standards.
  • Oversee staff schedules, approve time off, and ensure accurate timecard submissions.
  • Lead monthly direct care staff meetings to deliver training, review protocols, and improve daily operations.
  • Offer direct client support through daily interactions, supervision, active program participation, and addressing individual needs.
  • Provide on-call support as per the weekly rotation schedule.
  • Participate in weekly Treatment Team Meetings and relay important information to direct care staff.
  • Conduct non-clinical groups and supervise client activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in human services, counseling, psychology, education, criminal justice or social work preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with adolescents/young adults and families in a mental healthcare setting required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a lead, supervisory, or management role preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for insurance coverage for driving the company's vehicles.
  • Must complete CPI and CPR training within first 30 days.
