Role Description

This is a key position within Zoetis Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) organization within the Pharmaceuticals and the Diagnostics and BioDevices Platforms. The principal purpose of the role is to continue to strengthen the culture of continuous improvement and accelerate business results by assisting and at times leading cross functional teams through the rigorous application of Lean & Six Sigma methodologies. The Global Operational Excellence Leader will work as part of the existing Center of Excellence (CofE) continuous improvement team to provide leadership and hands on implementation in support of the overall Operational Excellence transformation program.

SCOPE OF JOB:

  • Highly Influential role supporting the Zoetis Global Manufacturing Supply organization which has multiple manufacturing and distribution centers across the network
  • Support the Site to develop the OpEx master plan.
  • Drive and facilitate monthly platform OpEx meetings.
  • Support and coach site OpEx Leaders.
  • Part of an existing Lean SixSigma Center of Excellence team working in partnership with the key functional / platform / site leaders and the Local Change Agents embedded within the business
  • Responsible for the design & delivery of the Capability build program (including ongoing revisions to the training syllabus and roll out of the existing coaching & mentoring programs)
  • Responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement and delivering step change improvement in the critical few key business performance indicators (KPI's) across technology platforms
  • Partnering with the relevant enabling functional / technology platform business lead to deploy existing methodologies while advancing the application of Lean SixSigma principles across multiple business units
  • Initiating sustainable transformational business improvement programs to meet/exceed customer expectations while using lean & SixSigma thinking to drive continuous process improvement
  • Lead teams comprised of cross-functional business units through the implementation of Lean SixSigma projects to address specific business process problems and the design of new simplified standardized processes
  • Achieve aggressive operational targets with delivery of significant financial benefit
  • Serve as a recognized expert to facilitate highly complex problem solving, action workouts, value stream mapping and special data analysis as required
  • Continue to build Lean SixSigma capability and mindset across the Global Manufacturing Supply organization via informal & formal training, mentoring & coaching programs
  • Mentoring & coaching manufacturing site OpEx leaders and LSS BB Trainees as part of the capability build program.
  • Network both internally and externally to exchange learning's and ensure best practices are adopted throughout the operations
  • Lead Operational Excellence programs for the technology platforms

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Certified Lean SixSigma Black Belt
  • Minimum 10-15 years progressive work experience or equivalent in a business environment preferably manufacturing technical/engineering or supply chain management
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent; masters degree preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and preferred global experience in leading teams / driving Lean SixSigma project execution
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with broad facilitation experience

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Change agent with strong credibility
  • Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary and cross functional teams to solve highly complex problems
  • Able to work and communicate well across functions and influence key stakeholders to support business priorities
  • Coaching, mentoring and teaching abilities
  • Solid business/financial & project management skills
  • Proven ability to work on cross functional and multi-cultural teams
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of time

Physical Requirements:

Duties will be performed in an office setting with time spent in manufacturing. Use of proper PPE and access to all areas of a manufacturing facility is required.

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in (Colorado). Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.

Base Pay Range: $160,000 -$230,000

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in (California), (NJ Remote), (NY Remote), or (Washington). Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.

Base Pay Range: $181,000-$260,000

This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation. The position is also eligible for long-term incentive.
