Position Summary The Product Specialist is responsible for delivering a high-quality user experience for the university's global enterprise academic applications. Gather requirements and advise on the design and development of new features, actively collaborating with developers and vendors to implement new functionality and UX enhancements. Operating within an Agile development cycle, conduct user experience and functionality testing, and serve as the product's subject matter expert for various IT projects and governance committees. Provide essential day-to-day application-level support. Qualifications Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline. Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree STEM field, Software User Experience, or equivalent experience. Required Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Product Specialist, Product Owner, or Technical Analyst within a technology or software development environment for user-facing application services.Experience with UX testing or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Experience: 3+ years of experience with the following: Explorance Blue, Anthology Engage, PeopleGrove. Experience working in an academic environment. Experience providing Level 2 customer support or technical training. Experience configuring enterprise-level software. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work and communicate effectively in a collaborative team environment; UX testing; basic HTML and CSS knowledge and skills. Demonstrated experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting product requirements and user stories. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00 to USD $115,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
