Wieland is hiring a Block Operator. The Block Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating Block to draw tubing to required size listed on specifications. Operates equipment safely per standard operating procedure and initiates improvement to safe operations as appropriate. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $20.21/hr for 60-90 day training period, then $25.28/hr.

Schedule: 11 PM to 7 AM, after the training period which is 7 AM to 3 PM

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Block Operator Responsibilities:

Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required.
• Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes.
• Produces material within prescribed tolerances using appropriate measuring device with focus on the "next customer" in a timely manner.
• Performs Block set-up after analyzing traveler ticket (production order sheets).
• Manually hand pushes coils from pit arm to tree and from tree to mule with helper. Will assist helper with mule.
• Occasionally needs to determine alternate plug and die to produce material to specifications due to raw material variations.
• Determines and uses appropriate lubricant to produce proper ID (Inside Diameter) and OD (Outside Diameter).
• Maintains and cleans screen in oil reservoir.
• Visually inspects drawn tubing for visible defects, etc.
• Maintains accurate records by posting and recording information as needed, i.e., traveler tickets and/or daily production sheets, time sheets.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machine's training evaluation form.
• Able to work various overtime as business needs require.
• Cross-trains in other areas as needed.

Block Operator Qualifications:

• Level Supervision, and Human Resources Department.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine specific SOP's.
• Demonstrates proficient knowledge in utilizing measuring devices.
