KPMG is currently seeking a Security Officer to join our Lakehouse Campus Security organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence while on post and patrol and engage with guests and employees while maintaining a high amount of knowledge about the property's offerings and services; seek to delight guests while maintaining the fundamental focus of the security department
  • Preserve confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets; support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect and help the team to reach common goals; comply with Firm standards and expectations
  • Patrol guest room floors, secure rooms, and assist guests with room access; conduct daily physical hazard/safety inspections, investigations and maintain integrity of the key control process
  • Handle all issues and complaints in a professional and composed manner and assist guests/employees during emergency situations; respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required, gather information and complete reports
  • Operate property motor vehicles on and off campus; enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems and perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette, listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees; maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises
Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in security guard force in the hospitality industry
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; High school diploma required; current CPR/First Aid/AED Certifications are preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of current business applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and related security applications
  • Strong communication skills and ability to exercise good judgment and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period; may require flexibility to work on any shift as business needs dictate
