Rack Truck Driver/Yard Worker

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for safely transporting construction materials and heavy equipment in compliance with Company and D.O.T regulations.
• Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
• Assist with safely loading, securing, and unloading equipment, tools and building materials on all types of trucks.
• Maintain yard location, keeping it a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform visual/operational pre and post-trip inspections on all types of equipment and trucks.
• Rig barge sections/crane parts and miscellaneous equipment.
• Drive/operate rack truck, loader, forklift and other types of construction equipment for the purpose of loading and unloading.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Valid driver's license required; CDL Class A or B is a plus.
• Knowledge of all D.O.T. regulations and electronic logbooks a plus.
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to operate necessary construction equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must have a can-do attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
• Must be able to lift/move 50 pounds.
• Rigging experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the construction industry a plus.
• Ability to work outside in all-weather conditions.
• Local resident in the Baltimore, MD area.
