Patient Services Coordinator (Temp-to-Perm) Location: Saco - Onsite (5 days/week) Schedule: 40 hours/week \| M-Th 9am-5pm and up to 2 days 10:30am-7pm; Fri 8am-5pm About the Role We are seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at an Adult and Pediatric Clinic. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a patient-centered environment and enjoys being the first point of contact for patients. You'll play a key role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every visitor, while also supporting administrative and financial processes. Key Responsibilities * Greet and register patients, providing clear information about their visit and follow-up appointments. * Schedule appointments in person and over the phone. * Communicate regularly with attorneys, insurance companies, translation services, and internal teams. * Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications. * Prepare patient intake forms to ensure timely service. * Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations. * Counsel patients on their financial responsibilities at the time of service. * Meet quality assurance goals and maintain accurate payment reconciliation. * Solve problems through effective communication with internal and external contacts. * Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Qualifications * Strong customer service skills and a patient-first mindset. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Fluent typing skills (minimum 40 WPM). * Familiarity with basic bookkeeping and accounts receivable principles. * Comfortable using office equipment (fax, copier, etc.). * Ability to navigate computer systems efficiently. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
