Business Technology Summer Intern

This is a ten-week paid internship designed to expose college students to various disciplines in IT. There are two tracks available: Software Developer or Business Analyst. At an apprentice level of proficiency, interns are expected to work closely with experienced staff to deliver value in terms of new systems or support existing systems. Each track is expected to job shadow other areas of IT for a portion of their internship.

The Software Developer track allows students to develop, test, document and implement code in one or more applications and participate in the analysis and design of one or more applications. The Business and Quality Assurance Analyst (BAQA) track allows students to test, document and implement changes to one or more applications and participate in the analysis and design of one or more applications.

Qualifications

• Course work or experience related to software development, system analysis, information systems/technology or business.

• Enrolled in a four-year college, with a major in or related to information technology or business and freshman year of college completed.

• Similar or related professional experience would be a plus.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.

• Ability to think orderly, logically and analytically, and strong problem-solving skills. Resourcefulness and creativity in the execution of job tasks.

• Must be goal-oriented and have a strong sense of team solidarity.
