Job Title: Asst Director Patient Care Location: New Brunswick Department: Children's Same Day Req#: Status: Full-Time Shift: Day Salary Range: Job Overview: RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Assistant Director of Patient Care for the Children's Same Day and Pediatric Pre & Post Anesthesia Care Units at the New Brunswick campus, The Assistant Director's primary responsibilities will be the operations of Children's Same Day and Pediatric Pre and Post Anesthesia Care to include the pediatric sedation program, medical infusions, pre-admission testing, and pre post anesthesia care, This leader position is crucial for the daily operations of both departments, This includes overseeing the scheduling of both inpatient and outpatients receiving sedations, infusions, and PATs within BMSCH, The Assistant Director along with the help of the Medical Directors will be responsible for screening prospective patients to determine sedation risk and the appropriate provider to perform the sedation, They will also be responsible for overseeing quality improvement and tracking the sedation service metrics, The Assistant Director will also organize and coordinate educational initiatives and perform bedside sedation when needed, and additional duties as assigned, Qualifications Required: BSN required At least 2 years of recent critical care nursing experience required Preferred: MSN highly preferred Previous experience as a nursing leader is preferred Certifications and Licenses Required: BLS, PALS, ACLS certifications Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License Scheduling Requirements: Days, 40 hours per week Full-Time At RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support our employees physical, emotional, social, and financial health.
